Seems just like the other day when you were a little one, Things seemed so simple day to day, But now you’re feeling down, oh so down, you never get around. The feelings that you’re feeling aren’t the same. Still times move forward, days go by, you’ve gotta get away. Trapped in this circle game of chance. When you’re dreams are shattered you must go on before it fades away. Because something’s really happening now, nothing fades away. You’ve gotta get it on out of the way, I’ve got to bleed my soul. Get it on out of the way, you take it down to the open road. Get it on out of the way, I’ve got to bleed my soul. Get it on out of the way, you take it down to the open road. Something’s really happening in my mind Something’s really happening this time, honey. Something’s really happening in my mind, Way down on the ground, in the cold. It seems times are changing everyday just a little more, But you’ll still be the one you’ll be. I think it’s true in life the only thing that we can count on. Are changes really happening now, change won’t fade away You’ve gotta get it on out of the way, just go now yeah Get it out of the way, just go now yeah Get it out of the way, just go now yeah Get it out of the way, and be the change you want today. Something’s really happening in my mind, Way down on the ground, in the sun- copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Well the bands that came through town, have stood upon my stage They've played tune or two Some arced in a broken rage. The songs that filled my room came from the flaming speakers sound. Round the corridors they rang To the friends I see uptown. But toni---------ght my flames are burning bright, for all to see. The people out uptown see me burning down Like a underground scene that's coming out. I can take on no more water Because I'm burning bright for one last time. Well the times my friends have stood on union street outside A cold pint at Jackie O's, burning heat out back at night The souls that graced my walls Will echo evermore From the ashes we will rise In the harmony of love, But toni---------ght my flames are burning bright, for all to see. The people out uptown see me burning down Like a underground scene that's coming out. I can take on no more water Because I'm burning bright for one last time. On a cold November night, At 413am, An era passing by, stood blowing through the Athens skies. All times are meant to change, Yes nothing stays the same, But still this memory remains Let me rise one last time But toni---------ght my flames are burning bright, for all to see. The people out uptown see me burning down Like a underground scene that's coming out. I can take on no more water Because I'm burning bright for one last time. I can't take on no more water This ship is going down I can take on no more water Because I'm burning bright for one last time. I can take on no more water Because I'm burning bright, I'm burning bright copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Clear Skies 05:33
Where do we go from here, who do we know. Life isn’t oh so clear where did it go? The people they seem so strange, the walk down the street. Where do we go from here? Who will we be? Well it seems so strange to me, thinking about the Earth as a tree With its arms wide branching out, forming connections- We won’t know which way we’ll turn, a greener life is all we’ll learn Until we all just sync together in the right direction. Let the Clear skies show the way, And in the evening before it rains. Where is it that we’ll go from here? Please make me whole again, before the sunrise. Please make me whole again before the sunrise Where do we go from here, who will we be? The life that was meant for you, live it for me Seizing the time out of nowhere, passing the days. High on your road to nowhere that leads you a stray. We’ve been riding down that highway in an endless summer night. Led by the light of the bottom crescent moon. I’ve got two packs on my side and the time keeps passing by. Led by the light, of the bottom crescent moon. It’s been too long since we’ve cried, and we said out last goodbyes. I won’t ever run away listening to those things you said. Still we set out on our own, down the path that takes you home. Although the darkness stays around, but still that light keeps on shining on me. In this mew of yellow white, worries dwindle on your shoulders. Keep on running, back and forth tonight. We was lost in the woods for days, until I saw that frightful haze Still led by the light of the bottom crescent moon. It’s been too long since we’ve cried, and we said out last goodbyes. I won’t ever run away listening to those things you said. Still we set out on our own, down the path that takes you home. Although the darkness stays around, but still that light keeps on shining on me. I hope you’ll never loose the sight, because minds oh they’ll keep changing Staying open, closed and far and wide. We walked back to the inn for tea, but now they’re tossing stones at me Still led by the light of the bottom crescent moon. \ It’s been too long since we’ve cried, and we said out last goodbyes. I won’t ever run away listening to those things you said. Still we set out on our own, down the path that takes you home. Although the darkness stays around, but still that light keeps on shining on me. copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Another year this morning, seems like times they were meant to change And times ain't been easy, though they remind me of where they've been. The Longest Road I ever drove, made me tired and face the pain But for the long road that is yet to be, make me dream See our souls, see them fly through the air See our minds running free, sitting back in the chair Hear the voice of the world, why does nobody care? Keeps me drifting away, drifting away, drifting through turbulent times. One last trip to the borderline, it felt like angels had left me there And thoughts they weren't easy, but still they plague my mind with broken cares The strangest fate of men it seems, made me tired and face the pain, But for the long road that is yet to be, make me dream copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Ashes and ashes are falling down they've burned our poor river away The black of its water keep aching my heart, gone away is its new blood again But time is forever and man needs a friend, he repeats his mistakes in the end. A poor hearted nation where greed is his friend, they've burned out poor river away. Old friends and new friends a pretense for war, manipulates always the same. A credo of wonder with all that we stand, mistrust and confuse them again. But time is forever and man needs a friend, he repeats his mistakes in the end. A poor hearted nation where greed is his friend, they've burned out poor river away. copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Sometimes it’s so hard to receive, when your baby she’s just so hard to please. Better watch out when she steps on your knees. If you’re careful you might catch her disease But when the time is right you might look around, then face west and you kick the ground The time is passing and it looks right out In case you haven’t noticed, your world is turning upside down. They’ll tell you that the world is alright Even clone you on the day that you die Better watch out because they may kill a child. Unnatural signs will rule the times But when the sun it rises in the western skies and a billboard shines on the moon And the tides are rolling Appalachian shores. In case you haven’t noticed, your world is turning upside down. Politicians speed your minds we cannot slow down the change that’s taking place inside this world, Behind the times and losing touch… copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Vampires 04:41
Why is it now that I can no longer see my reflection in the mirror on the wall? And how many lives is a man supposed to live before he forgets himself and hears his maker's call? So many times behind me and so many damned regrets, how can I pay for them all? Why is it now that I can no longer see my reflection in the mirror on the wall? Why is it now that I can no longer sleep in my bed at night the dreams they never come? And all things aside, I'll just mend my weary heart, like a flag whose proud colors never run. So many friends around me and so many wasted times, lying around baking in the sun. why is it now that I can no longer sleep in my bed at night the dreams they never come You'll go your own way, and do they best you can, keep going your own way Sometimes you'll need a hand------------, sometimes you'll need a hand. So many friends around me and so many wasted times, idling by doing the best we can. How many times does a woman have to cry, before he forgets himself and becomes a better man? Why is it now that I can no longer see my reflection in the mirror on the wall? And how many lives is a man supposed to live before he forgets himself and hears his maker's call? So many times before me I have heard a gentle voice, Echoes from the great and sacred hall. How many lives is a man supposed to live before he forgets himself and hears his makers call? Before he forgets himself and hears his makers call? copyright 2015 Morgan Washam

Worlds Apart 07:49
Riding home from the road. I think I’ll miss myself for a little while Appears a hill in the distant skies. Will she take me there? Will I be alright? Did we see everything in the world? Did I love you more than him? It wasn’t meant to be right, in this life. Now you say you just wanna be friends. Can we have nothing more in this life? With an electric guitar in my hands I want to keep you by my side, asking only for time in the end. Can we teach everyone in the world? Granted only one more chance Don’t you think me out this time, as we’re spinning on this ride- Dreaming on, I see what’s best. Still she travels through every town in my mind. The battle cry of a tortured soul As she takes me there, will it be the same? Can we ride through the tide of the song Pale moonlight in my eyes. Would you kick me out in the cold? See we’re only friends for life. With my ear to the door I can hear, I hear your heart beating on through the night Won’t you lay me by your side? Asking only for one more chance You have taught me all you know, but now it’s time for me to go. Don’t you think me out this time, as we’re spinning on this ride Because we’re only world apart, can’t we find the common ground? Wait-------------------------------------------- Because we’re only worlds apart, can’t we find the common ground? Because we’re only worlds apart, yes we’re only world apart. Because we’re only worlds apart… Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh copyright 2015 Morgan Washam
